I know I need the dash kit adapter to install stereo,,, quik questions,,,,

the dash kit does that slide and lock into place just like the stock stereo and then the aftermarket stereo outside housing clips into the dash kit and then the new stereo slides into the stereos housing and locks into place thats it??? Will there be any screws needed to secure the dash kit? What about a rear support bracket.... it will be first time installing a stereo but i believe i can do it very as long as i follow crutchfields instructions and my current job always involves working on similar situations: harnesses , troubleshooting electronics, fixing machines at work, etc....

I just want to make sure aftermarket stereo is secure in place by not accidentally skipping some steps.... does crutchfield master install sheets actually give step by step instructions on installing stereo???




I dont worry electrical connections..... that should be a piece of cake once I solder custom ford harness to stereos harness.

Its not that hard at all and yes Crutchfield usually has very good detailed instructions for you to use. Just go for it and if you have any problems along the way someone can help clarify on here.

ok new JVC hdr40 and dash kit and harness is enroute from crutchfield. any quick tips...?? Ive read in here that its better to have the opening on the dash kit up to avoid sag. is that true?? also is it better and easier to assemble cage from new headunit into dash kit before installing dash kit into opening??? will I use any screws or a rear support bracket.
