Default Recommended speakers for 99 ranger

Hi I'm lookin to replace the 6x8's / 5x7's in the back. I was told to replace the speaker wire as well and I'm wondering if anyone has replaced this as well If it made a difference.

Also, anyone know any good/cheap speakers I can keep my eyes peeled for?

Thanks

Four of those and a new head amp worked wonders.

Yeah I have a weakish system right now...10'' sub with 200 watt amp. I'm hoping to get an 800 watt but I don't wanna over power the sub so I'm gonna get new speakers. So pioneers from walkers work well?

I'm also wondering what the difference is between 2way speakers and 4 ways?

4 way has 2 more drivers that are dedicated to the high/mid frequencies. But, more drivers will take slight bits of power away from the woofers for bass because you are driving more "speakers" with the same power. It also really comes down to ohms and speaker resistance.

I went with 3 way. Clear and still full of bass. Some people like to use a set of 4 way speakers in the front for clarity and 2 way in the rear for a bit more kick. I think the 3ways all around are great. good bass, but not overpowering. I like Country, rock, and folk styles and it works AWESOME for those.

Do you have an after market head amp? If not, I recommend the Pioneer DEH P5200-HD

Also, I would not get them from Walmart. There are better prices to be had.

Oh ok I get it now. I have a 200watt Jensen amp (got it off craigslist) but yeah I'm lookin for another one. Sony xplodes any good?

I'll probably stick with a 2 or 3 way. 240 watts for a speaker is good to have, right?
