Default radio changes stations...

my radio has a mind of its own. its a Boss Audio BV8966B. i can be driving down the road and next thing i know is it will switch stations on me.. it will litterally scan all stations and then settle on something else. like yesterday i was on 96.1 and it scanned all the stations out there and then settled down on 96.9. any ideas why its changing stations on me? did the guy wire it up wrong?

Sound to me like there is something wrong internally with your stereo.

Some stereos have presets where they can be set on auto scan, Or your truck is possessed and you would have to torch it

i like the truck to much i don't wanna torch it... I'm wondering if hitting the reset button would change anything back to normal so it doesn't do it?

This may sound stupid, but is there a chance your remote slid down in the seat the the button is getting pressed, changing the station?

I think the problem is internal and as simple as road bumps causing the scan button to be pressed intermittently either through the button itself rattling or an internal cable rubbing through and causing a short to ground in place of that.

In any case its probably a problem for a technician to repair.
