Default Sub vibrates when stereo turned off

I need some help i just recently installed a sub and amp into my ranger and when I turn the stereo off the sub begins to vibrate like its getting feedback

I have a 2008 ranger with stock deck, I spliced a line output converter into the rear speaker inorder to get my RCA's for the amp, ran the power wire to battery and the remote trigger to the fuse panel.

Any ideas what might be causing the sub to vibrate when the stereo is off?

thanks in advance

there should be a ground wire on your line output converter, find a good place to ground that out first. that should take care of some/most of it.

also, you need to run your remote wire to a switch or something that turns off when the radio does. the remaining feedback is coming from the amp being on and having no signal.

I have the Line output converter grounded to with the amp and I grounded them using the hole and bolt from where the rear jumpseat used to be.

Do you know of anything I can splice the remote wire into that turns off with the stereo?

they sell a line output converter at best buy that will generate a turn on lead for you.... pretty easy to install. The stock radio more than likely has no remote turn on lead that you would be able to attach to.

turn down the adjustments on the converter. They're to high causing them to produce a signal even when there isn't one. Otherwise you can tag the ignition power off the deck for turn on, you'll get a "pop" when you turn it on or off but it'll work til you get a deck.
