You will LOVE your Singer Alternator. I'm running his 265A version right now, and will be switching to his 340A version as soon as it's readily available. Mike is an awesome guy to deal with also.

That 230 will be plenty of power for a good sized setup, I just caught this little SPL bug and can't get enough power My 265 actually tested out about 5% more than he rated it for at idle and max. Love me some Singer Alternators.
Nice looking equipment list in the sig also.

Re: Show Your System
how do you test the output?
Only difference in the setup now is a Pioneer AVH P4300DVD. Not a fan of integrated GPS. The AQ1200 just sucks the power from my lights if I get it up too much. So i'm sure this should fix it.

I have a buddy who owns a parts store that has a machine that can test alternator output.
That should help for sure, be sure to do the big 3 as well as typically light dimming is as much improved from better grounds as it is from anything else. Also do a ground from one of the alternator case mounting bolts to the negative battery terminal.
The 4300 is a nice unit, a few of my friends are running them. I'm still stuck in the single DIN days with my old Eclipse unit, hasn't let me down yet though

My ground from the alternator goes to the body. That should be good, right?

Re: Show Your System
Typically what I have been told is directly to the battery completes the circuit faster (Come from another alternator company back when I had my Heep). Not sure you'd notice a huge difference, but worth trying possibly.
I'll post some new pics/videos of my setup this weekend as it's changing some. Maybe a 53 sealed legal in my future, maybe not. Who knows?
