Mid bass lol. Doing mclaren neos. So they'll have a good load of mid bass and clear mid range. Gonna be on about 1200 watts a door maybe more if I get the funds

thanks man. I found 1 cubic ft for sealed and 1.5 for ported early but didn't know how trust worthy it was. Now say I found a box that is tuned to 40hz, would that make much of a difference? I don't know anything when it comes to dialing in and tuning a system

40hz is a little high but pre fabs are usually tuned over 40hz or higher. Around 35 is normal.

I'm gonna talk to a friend about building me one, but until then, is there anywhere you can order a "custom box"? And what's the difference? The material they are made of or just the dimensions? Or what? I'm a noob to some of this stuff. I've just always been able to slap a wiring kit on a truck and wire up some subs and a amp and tune it in to what I consider okay lol

Re: Show Your System
A custom box would be made to the exact dimensions of the subs and tuned properly.

that's what i was assuming. I just wasn't sure if you could order one, or if you just had to do it yourself. I could build one I'm sure, I just done really have the time right now. A good friend of my boss does this stuff as a profession. I may see if I can't get him to build me one for cheap

there was multiple CsCustoms I come across. Don't really know which one you're talking about. Not all dealt with car audio but a few of them did

When calculating the internal volume of a box do I need to add the space the sub will take up inside as well? Or just get the 1.75 cubic feet without adding space the sub will take? I've been trying to do some research and may try to build it myself if I figure all this out. My biggest problem so far is adding the port in as well, not quite sure how to do that yet lol
