I have a 98 extended cab The rear doors don't open and I been considering building sub boxes to sit in the holes the jump seats fold up into. Has anyone attempted this?

I have an extended cab with a box with 3 12"s in it. I didnt have to remove the seats, there's a little trick to getting a box back there if that's you're worry. Just push the seats forward. Lean one seat forward and the other back. Sit the box in its side, lean the seat you have laying down up, and sit the box how you want it.
Idk if this is helpful for ya or not.

It would take a lot of fiberglass. You would need to completely cover the inside of the hole

Re: Show Your System
Thank you for the replies guys, I have two kids I need to be able to still have the jump seats in so I am wanting to put them in the holes where the seats would normally fold into, but I have no need to be able to fold the seats up as well so I was thinking some of he smaller truck boxes for tens would fit and then just build a trim plate or fiberglass it in somehow I'm not worried about the amplifier can put it on the back wall in a nice box.

A couple of small truck boxes down facing would be better than the holes. You can't use the body of the truck for an enclosure. You would literally need to make a complete wood/glass box inside those holes
A couple down facing boxes with some kind of feet/legs to keep the sub from touching
Good component speakers with an amp will sound pretty good alone, if done right

I concur. You can fit a small sealed 10" box under each jumpseat with them unfolded. Also, there are no rear doors on your truck. Thats why they dont open. That part just made no sense at all.
