That's kind of what I'll be doing. But with 12's down firing and no pioneer anywhere. I'm going to pull the carpet and make a false floor.

Re: Show Your System
I'm thinking of doing HLCD's, but I can't seem to find any anywhere.
Also I'll need some 8's that will really keep up with them. Anybody seen any horns for sale anywhere? Not really active on other forums anymore (although I did peek on SMD to see if Christian had updated his build log there).
If someone finds a decent pair, let me know!

Are you talking about like sinking the box into the floor? I've thought about doing something similar, and always wondered if it was feasible. The Subs i have have about a 3in mounting depth And with a 3in body lift wouldn't there be a big enough gap to sink the subs into the floor and have them flush with the floor?

That not was he was talking about. He just wants to make a box and make the top of it blank, covered in carpet so it looks and acts like a floor.

Hey guys, since the Ranger is out of commission for the time being and I don't have a subwoofer in the Explorer, should I put it in the Expo? It's a Rockford Fosgate P3 Shallow 12", and I know it will sound weird because there's a lot more air space in the Explorer. I was thinking about putting it underneath the back seat. Thoughts?

Under? I had a 97' Eddie edition and I don't recall there being a lot of room under there

Looked like it might fit. I wouldn't really know until I tried to put it under there. Regardless, has anyone ever heard a shallow sub in an SUV? I understand it won't sound very good, but I just need something other than stock door speakers.

Then put it in. Just buy another amp/wire kit. Don't pull your ranger stuff
