What box did you have the shallow mount in? and how did it sound, im thinking about getting one for my truck

I was planning on doing that originally, I was going to do just the one 10 inch sub but I would have made the box ported and both the amps would have been mounted on it. It would have looked sweet but I didn't want to take up floor space. So I went for a more compact approach and I think I like this better now.

understandable man, i dont use my back floor besides my amp sitting on it and box for my 2 12s sitting right next to it but occasionally i would like more floor space back there

I had built the box myself out of 1/2 and 3/4 MDF, I'm sure they sell a box specifically for the ford ranger similiar to mine somewhere online but I have the tools and decided to save some money and make it myself. Its sealed and is about .66 cu ft.

Yeah, I at first was going to have zero floor space. I bought a Memphis Audio Mojo 15 inch sub that I was going to put in my truck. The box was going to take up half of the cab space in the back of my truck though, so I sold it. I would have gone deaf if that thing was in my truck though.

So far a Kenwood. I'm getting Kenwood speakers put in as I speak because the old ranger speakers are going. Driver speaker was already blown. He showed me the old one it got water in it and was just garbage . These are deff gonna give it a clearer more quality sound

Loveeee my head unit and no I have no subs. Just new speakers but I can defffffff tell a huge difference. My music is loud and I think Kenwood is deff on too in audio

Do you know if I would change my head unit (factory) to another kind like your kenwood. Would it make a difference using the factory speakers?

You will see some difference, but upgrading the speakers will give you a bigger difference than replacing the head unit. The stock speakers suck really bad.

A head unit with stock speakers will give some change though not much . But aftermarket speakers will give a dramatic change haha

Well Iam saving up some money so I can get some speakers then. I guess I will do them first. Then the head unit. What size did you put in? U go bigger then factory?

The factory size 6x8 will work fine.

I don't know what size mine is I will have to look and measure.
