What amp will you have powering them? Id probably do 1.25 per box and do about a lb pf polyfil in each box. As far as materials, you'd need a sheet of .75" mdf DO NOT USE .5" they will not hold to the pressure. On top of wood, you'd need a bottle of tite bond wood glue, and a 5lb box of 2in coarse thread screws

I was looking at this one for my truck. How do you like it? Does it fit good and can you see the screen when the sun is shining in the truck?

Nothing special. Just got a Kenwood head unit. I'm impressed with it so far

Those are very good SQ subwoofers. From JL Audio -

Recommended Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box size recommended by JL Audio is 1.125 cu/ft with external dimensions of 23" W x 14" H x 9.25" D, assuming 3/4" thick material.

Each sub will handle 500 watts RMS so you can go as high as a 1200 watts RMS @ 2 ohms mono amp, as long as you set the gain for 1000 watts RMS. If you use an amp of less than 1000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms, set the gain for that amp's RMS power output spec.

This is almost just like an older DD Pioneer headunit in 1 of my trucks and the display does not get too washed out in sunlight, but it is kinda bright at night.

well after 7 months with out a computer I finally got one. but besides that im finally back on the forum. and in my favorite part of it too!. anyways Ive saved up some money and finally will be running a new system. for those who don't know what I was running I will post a link to a video on youtube. my last set up was 2 Sundown Audio ZV.2s 15s on a Sundown Audio SAZ-3000, box tuned to 34hz, 1 singer 340 amp alt. and 2 batteries.

http://youtu.be/PLXe1an8U-E

hopefully that link works!!!

but after a few months of saving up Ive ordered the new ZV.4 15s and also received another SAZ-3000. so now I just have to wait till june/july for the ZV.4s to get here and then build a box and then I should have a new setup to show to you guys!

I like it a lot! The BT hands free phone interface is particularly great for my needs. The "screen" is only on the top half of the unit and can be seen quite well in direct sunlight. It's not an LCD screen unit so there's no problem in the sun.

It is a bit of a trick to get it in. It takes an adapter kit and some significant filing on the top, bottom and both sides. But once it's in, it fits like a glove.

As has been said, the lights are quite bright at night even when the Dim mode is on. It doesn't tie into the OEM dimmer but has its own Dim mode.

I'm running a Memphis 100 Wyatt 2 channel amp. But I have the subs bridge so it's like 200 Wyatt's The subs are underpowered but still sound amazing and still hit really hard.

I got a really good deal on mine I paid a 100 bucks for box subs and amp
