Re: Show Your System
No offense man but Scott has had way more badass systems in his truck and has never broken glass. And I highly doubt two MTX 12's that are probably getting 400w max per sub are breaking any glass.

Sorry, I had been dealing with an idiot locally over what he wanted in his vehicle and he had been making similar comments that had pissed me off. Anyways, a crack could be possible but would also most likely stem for improper or no deadening at all and when I see comments such as this from the type of equipment and power level you have it kinda irks me(and reminds me of the people I deal with who refuse to listen to me and spend and build the appropriate system for the needs). In truth I still do not see cracks happening at that power level but stranger things have happened. AND in truth that comment has always kinda bothered me because cracking your window is really no determination of how loud your substage really is. This is all coming from a car audio competitor stand point and who sometimes forgets about the daily side of CA.
(Also tone and context is bitch over the internet. It wasn't meant to be an ******* comment. I try to help people and educate as much as I can so they don't have to make the same mistakes I did when I first started car audio)

Go big(relatively speaking) and find a way to get a couple of shallow mount 12's squeezed in back there. Deadener is a MUST tho. At. Very least deaden the panel under the rear window and the florring it connects to. Do the doors too. Too much rattle even wit a single sub getting only 250 rms. That is my current project anyway.

Re: Show Your System
Havent been on for a while so here's an update on my system.
The sub box is 4 cubic feet and is mounted in the bed.
New Pioneer radio
Video just after the install. Subs powered by Power Aqustik amp. the subs only had maybe 250 watts rms each on them. Now they have 600 watts rms each.
Subs with new amp on a term lab. I hit 140.7 db with cab sealed and 147.1 db with one door open.
Link to build log.
