I got a 4 gauge wiring kit. The audio shop that installed it put the amp like behind the jump seat. I might move it though. And OlYeller thank you. I just got my truck back and was excited about it. I got what I could afford and it works for me.

I think 'condescending' was meant. I'm not being. I'm helping.

Sorry that I have a phone that autocorrects every word I type. Ever heard of a typo? Good god

there is a difference between helping and being *condescending*.

any ideas how to install the bypass switch?
Just hook it to a ground sometimes you will need a toggle switch but just hook to ground. Your e brake gives off a negative pulse when it's on

Sorry it seems condescending to you. Also, God always has a capital G, unless you like to use His name in vain.

tstrock, I was only asking for the rest of us who do not see where you mounted the amp, just for ideas, and also, was referring to the speaker wire going to the sub/box. How many watts RMS is the amp sending to the sub ? It DOES look good.

It's 300rms to the sub/box. The audio shop kinda hid the amp which I'm not a huge fan of cuz I don't want it to overheat.

hmmm... What amp and sub is it ? If the amp is mounted to the back wall and is not made to be mounted vertically, it very well could overheat.

300 watts RMS in a sealed box like that should be great in our small cabs. Good deal.

It's the KAC-8105D amp and a KFC-W2513PS sub. I don't think the amp is mounted to the wall.

Awesome ! You might know already, if you want to upgrade subs someday, to another that works well in that box, the amp will do 500 watts RMS to a 2 ohm load.

Ya I know I could upgrade. It's perfect right now though. But I am retarded. The amp is mounted under the driver seat. I just assumed it was under the jump seat because that's where I saw wires leading to.
