Keep in mind, that Audioque sub is probably alot better in a ported box than a sealed box. The parameters show that. If you want a sealed box, look at Kicker. The Kenwood amp is OK, but if you are going with a 600 watt sub in a small sealed box, you want more than 500 watts, IMO.

I have a question I just got me 2 SPL w-15 and I was wondering what would be some good dimensions for a loud box that fits in my 97 extended cab ranger

Re: Show Your System
That two 15 setup in the Ranger is nasty! Even if it is Sungay Audio.
I'll be ripping out all of my rear panels in the next two days, installing my deadener, building my false floor with batt tray, building my box, blah blah blah

Re: Show Your System
Also, GLH, you keep telling people they're underpowering their woofers - - - so what? I can take one sub, put half power on it in a nice enclosure, and still blow your mind. It's not as big of a deal as you'd like to think - - - sure, you'll get it a bit louder with more power, but a proper box design will take up for the lack of power, and truthfully the sub will last longer being under less stress.
As for the guy that says our trucks scream "steal me" - I WELCOME you to take something out of my truck. If you get past me and my pistol, there is a 600 dollar alarm system installed, my woofer weighs in around 75lbs, my box is going to be bolted to the floor AND through the back of the cab, and they're going to have to figure out how to rip the trim panels out to even get started.
Have fun

Also - as opposed to making a "part 2'' to this - start a new thread that is for PICTURES ONLY - no conversation. And we can keep the conversation going in here.
Be better for scrolling through picture for ideas.

If that's the case under powering by a 100 watts isn't a big deal right? Where would be a good place to get a box ordered or make one myself?

No, it's not a big deal. Just set the gain using 500 watts, unless you get a birth sheet with the amp that claims it makes more. You should be able to make a sealed box yourself out of 3/4-1" MDF.

You will next to never see the power shown on a birth sheet in a real world application.

Not a big deal at all. Going on what 727 said, a lot of the people in this thread aren't "guru" so to speak, so they don't understand rise and how it affects your power.
Depending on where you are(and how serious you want to be) I know a lot, lot of people from an Audio forum I take part in. There are quite a few people on there who build boxes for a living, or you can take a chance with a local shop. MOST of the time, local shops will order you a prefabricated box and tell you it's custom.
Feel free to PM me if you need information/links to that site. Cheers
