A majority of subs have dual voice coils these days so you'd want a dual 2 ohm wired up to 4 ohms in a single sub configuration

If you're using two subs (250w rms each) you'd want two dual 4 ohm subs wired up to 8 ohms each then back down to 4 ohms combined.

Crutchfeild has good clear diagrams of pretty much any possible way to wire subs up.

That amp won't do 500 watts. That's peak.. Peak does nothing. It doesn't even show rms power. Rms power is what you want to look at. Not peak power

I wouldn't pay more than like $20-$30 for that amp. Look on one of your local pages for a small kicker 600.1 or something like that. 300 to each sub from that amp would be better than that Pyle. Should be able to get one cheap. Then get either two svc 4 ohm subs and wire them to 2 ohm or two d2 ohm subs and wire them to two.

Default Re: Show Your System

According to Crutchfield I only need a 300W system because I am keeping my factory headunit. Only thing I plan on doing is adding new door speakers all around and 2 subs. So that amp may be ok.
