Infinity reference 6x8s or alpine type s 6x8s? For all around in the f150. Crutch field is running special on alpine and it's buy 1 get 1 free. Can get 2 sets of alpine type s shipped to door for $100. Or 2 sets of infinity reference 6x8 for $143 to door. Alpine have 88db sensitivity and the infinity is 93db. will be hooked to my headunit. And possibly amped down the road.

Re: Show Your System
I don't have direct experience with the infinity, but I'm less than impressed with the type s's. Infinity in the past has been good to friends.
The type s were free, never would have bought them.

I can get you RE pretty cheap 2 sets of 6x9s (should fit with little modification) for 160 or two sets of 5x7s which you could get an adapter for for $90

I had pioneers and wasn't very happy with them. I went with kickers in my Mazda and on an amp I was happy with them. I don't want to wire in another amp. Just want some nice speakers. The infinity was my top choice. The alpines because they are cheaper. As for the 6x9 I'm not cutting anything. Also thought about 6 1/2 but idk. My front door panels have a spot for a tweeter. I don't know if I should go with a component or not. Never used them before. Not sure if they would be beneficial for the front stage or not.

I have those exact ones. First in my ranger now In my f150. Love them. Great for the price and good on HU power. I didn't want to put in a extra amp so that's what I went with.

If your running an amp yes components would make night and day difference, off head unit power they will lack and may even sound worse than coaxils

that should do
Thinking about dropping my 2k to 1/2 when the Zv5's roll out, might go up to a 12" too. Apparently they are going to have the NSv3 coil in them (the v5's) but keep the 2k rating.

Got the amp today and installed it. It sounds awesome but it still needs to be tuned. Replaced the cheesy 4 gauge power and ground with some less cheesy 0 gauge I had sense I couldn't find my 5 feet of of 1/0 sky high wire. image-1776096762.jpg image-890873775.jpg

Bye bye blown 9512 hello two sa12's. Oh and also a sunfire 10". Got it and the amp on trade for two blown DD 6.5's. Amp needs repairs ($280) then I'll have a $2000 home sub for just about nothing lol.

Re: Show Your System
Screengrab from lifeofprice on YT, Zv4's beside Zv5's 10" thru 18"
Those others make mine look soooo tiny (i'm running the 10" left row) and IMO it's a friggin beast!
