I just didn't want it pulling any power cause I knew I was gonna be playing music for a couple hours. So I pull my CD player out to check my remote wire connection back there, when I pull it out I see two sets of wires exposed. Somehow the wire nuts fell off. One set touched my CD player and sparked like crazy. I put new wire nuts on, put it all back in place, and now my damn CD player won't even cut on at all..
The 10 amp fuse in the back of the player is still good

All my wires are good and connected...don't see how but must have fried it when the bare wires touched it. Oh well. Good excuse to tell the ole lady why I need a new and better one haha 😂😂

do not use wire nuts!!!!!!!!!!
----------
Atleast use crimp butt connectors. I've never had an issue with them. Wire nuts are for a ceiling fan in a house. Not a vehicle that vibrates.

Nice. Finally tuned my amp. And I'm much happier with the sound. Waiting to move the amp until I get the new headunit and get it installed

Yah I'm planning for a pretty big build. Basically got this sub for ~$35. Motor alone is worth at least $100.

The reason the headunit won't turn on is most likely because the fuse for your radio in your fuse box is blown. I would check that first. I spent 2 hours one time trying to figure why my buddies radio wouldn't turn on and then realized it was because the fuse blew.

I didn't even think of that fuse lmao. I know the fuse in the back of the CD player is good. I'll go check the other one now.

and I will do this as well. And will try the crimps. I've just always used electrical tape but when I bought this unit in had some wire nuts so I figured they'd be better. Never expected them to fall off. Actually ended up finding 4 sets of wires without the nuts on them
----------
So that fixed my CD player problem. But my amp still isn't kicking back on. Mind blown. Idk what the hell is going on
----------
Both fuses in the amp are good. Fuse under the hood is good. All connections are tight. Amp isn't going into protect mode, so I'm lost
