Would have been sweet to redo them and put all 4 under seat

I checked out the daytons, but I dont know- the required box size is pretty large. I want to build my own downfiring box while still retaining most of the utility of the extended cab portion of the truck (I use it very often).

You have any opinions on the Polk Audio MM1240? 12" 4 ohm single voice coil 425wrms 92db sensitivity (@1 watt).. pretty much perfect specs wise and needs only .9 cu ft. of volume sealed. Ill scrap the idea if everyone thinks its trash though.

Dont need an SPL sub- just a solid tight relatively flat spl curve sub will do me perfect. The Pioneer 10" downfiring sub I have now is fine- a bit of drop below 50hz and it wont keep up with my JBL P660C's tho.

Hooked sub up. Amp went into protect and won't come off of protect.. Great. Never went over 1/4 gain

It's flashing back and forth between protect and power

Have you tried de-energizing it (remove the fuse) and reconnecting it?

AKA the tech support "unplugging it and plugging it back in"

I did for a second. Should I unplug it and leave it out for a little while? Positive at the amp? Or ground?

I'm not to sure how long you should leave it disconnected for? removing the fuse should suffice i'd guess no need to disconnect wires.

If i had to guess you'd want to leave it off power until the protect led went out.

Maybe try leaving the remote wire connected with the power disconnected and try and feed it a signal to discharge the caps on the board?

I disconnected the amp entirely and let it sit for a min and hooked it back up. I think it went to protect because voltage dropped to low. Tuned it with a ddm and have it turned down a little. Still isn't loud enough! Lol I want flex

What voltage where you dipping too?

Flex looks good but it's robbing you of loudness, the only things that flex in my truck at full wang is the back window and my whole dash.

2 layers of dampner keeps the panels pretty rigid.

what kind of deadener are you using? My back wall has quite a bit of flex to it

I'm using Ultimate B-Quiet on the rear wall i also used peices of Hliner (acoustic foam) in the low spots of the metal and went over that with the deadner.

Made a flat surface for the sub enclosure to rest against. i cut out the metal centre tab by the wire going to the rear speakers seen below

I'm not sure right now. The lights are dimming pretty good. Haven't done the big 3 yet.
