Peak ? What does 'peak watts' mean ? Yes, this is a lesson.

What WILL damage it - is the fact that people who ARE underpowering it tend to turn the head unit and/or amplifier(s) up too loud, causing distortion/clipped signal - which WILL kill a speaker, virtually no matter the power.
10-4, which is why you should be setting your gains with a DMM to whichever is less, the subwoofer or the amplifier RMS rating.

Also, that Pioneer subwoofer will perfrom best in 1 cu.ft. internal volume sealed enclosure.

Yes, for only a millisecond even. Means nothing. Use RMS ratings only.

Hmmm... haven't checked out Lightning Audio in a few years, seems they have improved dramatically and are even CEA2006 spec compliant on most of their amps now. That 2 channel amp might even make a tad more than it's claimed 150 watts RMS @ 4ohms bridged output.

Cool beans. Now what small sealed box are you gonna put the sub in ?

Right now its in a 2 1/2 wide box with two 8 or 6 in audiovox. Prolly going to get some Mdf from HD and make one myself, or cut the ends off and reseal the one I have now and have only the pioneer in it.

Hey guys gonna put a new system in. 2 Alpine Type R's 10" 4ohm, not sure what amp to go with tho. I'm gonna build a box, wedge and they'll both have .75 cu.

Now should I put one sub directly behind, centered, the passenger seat and the other sub directly behind, centered, the driver seat, or should you put them more in the middle? If its centered in the cab I would think my right side would get most of the hit but if its centered behind the seats then I would think my right and left side would equally feel the bass hit.

Weird question but I'm building this and want it perfect.
