Thanks for the input guys! I'll have to do what everyone said as of right now the bass should be turned up, wouldn't that be for all the different sources right? And I think I have the "loud" feature on as well

Re: Show Your System
Each source might be able to be tuned differently is what i meant, bass might be turned up when the phone is used then when switched to radio you might need to go into the settings and adjust it for that source.
I don't know squat about sony though, ive only ever used alpine.

Yep that's how my alpine is. Each source you can tune independently

I had a sony double din and it would only have good bass on cd and aux. On Tuner (radio) you could forget it.

Re: Show Your System
My excitement quickly turned to disappointment when i opened up my new AudioControl EQS.
A couple of the dials don't match up to the case and 1/2 of them are countersunk instead of poking out a mm or so. The quality control card was also blank with no checks or signatures.
Already filed a return request with the e-bay retailer i bought it from.

Re: Show Your System
The seller has already accepted a return claim, so it's going back in the mail tomorrow.
At least i don't have to deal with a debate from the seller.
The footprint of the EQS is huge! with mounting tabs it's 8 7/8 high and 9 1/4 deep
I still want to have one in my system though, the whole return thing gives me more time to plan this install out.

Have any of you guys had any experience with these pre built custom boxes?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/2721702...&ul_noapp=true
I want a new setup up with something like this but can't really find any reviews about the box or how well it fits

Man if you're going that big on a box just build one or have a custom one built. Will sound much better and be louder.

I may do that. Got a friend who is pretty good at customizing stuff like that. May just use their dimensions and modify it a little. But I like the idea of the flat box across the top so I can still set something small back there if needed.

Gonna be doing the big 3 in the f150 when my wiring gets here. Read a few different things. Is it needed to use a fuse on the alt to battery wire? In reality the factory wire isn't fused? So why would it be needed?

Re: Show Your System
There is a fusable link built into the factory wire but you should add another to protect the run of cable it is on from any type of short circuit/fire.
One of those "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" situations.
