Kicker subs aren't that great. There amps are good. There subs suck

The skar audio shallow mounts don't look to bad. Price is going up. Could run a 1000watt skar amp. Would have to buy new 4 gauge wiring as well. Only thing I have is 8 gauge.

you can buy welding cable 0 gauge. Think it's a little larger than 4 car audio gauge and probably cheaper. And also I may sound like a nutt hugger or whatever lol but id look into the sundown sd line. Amazing sub for small enclosures. You could also get a custom under seat box made and it would be even better.

don't have the cash. Pretty much got them for $50. Would cost $200 to recone them. Then the cost of a box.

Gonna resell them?
----------
I'm debating with the skar shallow mount 10s to get the dvc 2 ohm and wiring them to 2 ohms. Or getting the dvc 4 ohm and wiring them down to 1 ohm. I'm gonna run the 1500.1 skar class D amp. http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/131486894816
They are rated at 500rms. But will take More. With wiring them at 1 ohm I can get 600-700rms out of each of the subs with that amp. Vs the 2 ohm 500rms per sub. As well as the adjustability of the bass knob.

gonna resell them. And I would go with 1 ohm as long as your electrical can handle it.

What are thoughts on the alpine amp pack that you can wire in behind the head unit? Worth the money? I know "use a real 4 channel" I don't want to go though all the wiring again and don't wanna buy another one. Planning on running the infinity reference speakers all around. No component setups unless it's easy to hookup the tweeter in the factory location in the door panel. I have a cheap ass "tview" head unit.. It's nice that it's got nav but that's about it it's a $100 head unit that was thrown in the truck before I bought it. I'm planning on getting a kenwood excelon double din down the road, going with 2 skar vd10s under the rear seat on a skar 1500.1 at 1 ohm. Will have them on the bass knob so I can turn the bass down as needed.
