Well in a way you could say I would provide the vacation.
How about we stick to "showing your system" and not derail the thread anymore.

Life is a highway - Rascal Flats. Every road trip, not on loop.
On a side note, I think I'll be getting some Hertz Energy and a Rockford Power T400X4ad soon

Don't know what that means. You set sub amp gain with the frequency of your port tuning unless you have a sealed system, then you use whatever frequency the bass boost if the amp is, but not use the bass boost. Yes, the amp gain matches the input from the headunit, but you should use the correct test tone frequency when adjusting the gain. With the full range speakers or the mid-woofers amp, the norm is to use 1000 hz test tone.
Don't you feel smarter now ? The best components in the world are no better than the worse when not set up properly.

Nothing wrong with JL if you have clean signal to a well tuned name brand mono amp giving rated power and they are in a correct box.

yeah I don't know all that much about tuning them in 100% percent perfect but I do know how to adjust the settings to make it sound good in my ears....I know it could be tuned in a whole lot better though. For the box I have no idea how good/bad it is. It's a big sob I do know that lol. I had them in a real nice box in a Chevy 1500 ext can first that fit under the back seat. But then I got the ranger so I traded for this box since the other obviously wasn't fitting in there. As for the amp it's a 2800 watt vm audio amp, it's not a bad amp at all for the price it was

that is very true...I've had the subs since I was a sophomore in high school, they have been beat to death. I've been thinking about going down to some 10s since it's so much tighter in the ranger then it was in the Chevy. I just want some that are going to beat like 12s. I may get some 10" w7s if I can talk myself into spending that kind of money on some subs lol

I don't see spending that kind of money for the name. U can get much better for so much cheaper. But it's your money so

Re: Show Your System
Ive got a Pioneer compact 10" sealed downfiring behind the drivers seat. Its pretty good, but it gets a little peaky once it crests ~65hz or so. I think its just a simple matter of a 10" driver having .35 cu/ft of space.
Since I dont use the space behind the drivers seat, Im thinking about getting a single 12" and building a box for it. The only thing is, I need a 12 that can handle 400watts and has a single 4 ohm voice coil. My class D amp is only 4 ohms stable when bridged.
Of course, I also want to get a tweet amp so I can finally run the DEH80PRS active.
Decisions decisions...
