It's gonna be awesome. Study up. Don't set gains too high. Don't overdrive anything. If you can get your hands on a device to set the gains more accurately than using Ohm's Law, do it. Try to use amps capable of delivering at least 110% of each driver's RMS wattage rating, but do your best to prevent clipping any frequency. Use the best wiring, cables, connectors, etc, you can afford. Without these practices, the best headunit, drivers, amps, etc, are all for naught.

Heard a sundown 15 today. Oh my lord! Sold the 4th order box and the dude did a demo for me. Freaking nuts! My eye balls were rattling. Stupid loud bass.

Sounds good to me as soon as the 6.5 co-ax of theirs is released (end of the month?) it will be all sundown for me (huggin hard)
These type R's have served me well though, that small neo magnet and composite frame where surprising but they rocked pretty good on the 40w or so each from the mini pak amp power.

What are you doing with the type R? I've got all alpine except the 4 door speakers..
