You've already decided to get an E3v3, the box design will be the same for either voice coil. Are you going with one or two subs? What's your budget for the amp? How big can the box be?

one and would like to stay $150 or less for the amp since the subs only $100. And and like I said it will be put into a custom center console. Right know I'm just trying to come up with a good amp to power it.

I'd personally go with the 2ohm DVC and get a class D monoblock like this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...lMbxoCHjnw_wcB

yeah, but he's got a budget of $150 for an amp. not a lot of quality choices in that range. the Picasso series amps generally have good reviews.

Mb quart and audiopipe also make 1k+ amps for $100-$150. Look at the reviews on this 1500W rms amp from audiopipe. http://www.amazon.com/AudioPipe-APCL...audiopipe+1000

Or this one Which might fit under your seat.
http://www.amazon.com/AUDIOPIPE-APSM...s=600+watt+amp

Have you thought about 2 subs? One sealed 8" sub with 12mm xmax doesn't produce much bass. I'd build a box for 2 8" subs(separate chambers). I'd buy one d4 sub to start. It'll wire at 2 ohms by itself and two of them will wire to 1 ohm. Then I'd buy an amp that produces at least 300w rms @2 ohms and 600w rms @1 ohm.

Even if it's that low. That's still 3x rms on one sub, or 1.5x on 2 subs. Still more than enough power.

I wouldn't have enough room for 2 subs.

----------

And I'm pretty sure it'll be enough for a single cab ranger. And it's going to be right beside me too lol.

How wide can the box be?

If you can squeeze 10.5" you could step up to a 10" sub.
