Well, truck jams no doubt about it. In fact, my windshield separated from the deal at the bottom. Don't think it will break yet, but it's def flapping against the frame.

Re: Show Your System
Does anyone have a system that just has the dash speakers and some 6 x 9's behind the seat of a single cab. A powered sub would be cool too. I am a 54 year old dude. I only listen to metal and classic rock so booming down the street is not what I want.

Re: Show Your System
What year model is your truck, Terry ? You can get plenty good enough bass for our genre music with 6x9's and maybe get the front soundstage you want with the right front speakers and a 4 channel amp.

I love my NSB, i have a group 65 under the hood and will probably be getting another for the back so i will have a good bit of reserve capacity (270 minutes) for my needs for playing/demo'ing with the ignition off.
Will a 31 fit under the hood? or is that not where is going?
As Mazda stated above, i am also curious about what you'll be running for an amp and sub so make with the details mang.

The group 31 is going in the back, i know im not supposed to mix agms but i drive my truck several times a day and i will eventually upgrade the front battery.
The subs will be two C2 audio team 1k 12's, they can take about 2200w a piece daily so for now i wont be getting full potential from them.
The amp will be a C2 audio recon 1.6.
My original plan was a single team sub @.5 ohm on the recon 1.6 but i got a killer deal on the second team sub.
I am doubling power and cone area so it should be a little louder than my current c2 threatcon-2 12

My truck is an 87 4 x 4. What is a sound stage? Will the four channel amp run all the speakers? I am rebuilding the truck and I am in the process of setting up my tunes. I would like to do this before I put the carpet and seats back in. What about a powered sub?

sound stage is just your sound. Lots of people like a heavy front stage( sound coming towards you like a concert. ) with a little in the back. The powered subwoofer is an all in one thing. Not lots of boom but good for minor bass and the music that you listen to. Very small as well. Personally i would do a shallow mount sub. You do need an amp and run the power wire etc for that. But if you do the powered sub it's fine too. And yes a 4 channel is all you will need for your mids and highs

I believe you can get 6x9's in your doors with some minor modification. With a pair of 6x9's in the small cab, you will not need the tiny dash speakers or the muffled 5x7's behind the seat. You can power a pair of speakers and a small sealed 10" sub/box with a 4 channel amp in 3 channel mode.

I can use some ideas, guys! My new WRX came with the Harmon/Kardon audio upgrade with what is marketed to be 440 watts to an 8" sub in the back. I want to keep this car looking original other than some exterior mods, so I'm not going to add a sub in the trunk. I was wondering if it's at all possible to install a Sundown 8" or something a little more powerful back there. The sub currently has no box surrounding it, however, so I'd assume that I'd have to have a custom box built to work with that?
