Re: Show Your System
Looking to do a blow through pretty soon. I've got everything squared away except for the box. I'll be using two SA-8v2's. I'm either going to have a typical slot port firing into the passenger side or a center port.
I've modeled several designs in Sketchup using Torres and WinISD.
A side port will be easier to build and allow for a smaller hole to be cut.
Are there any major differences between the two types of enclosures?
More to the point, is there any advantage to the center port that would be worth cutting a larger hole and the added build complexity?
Any suggestions or tips or advice would be appreciated.

personally I'd do 4 sa8 s if your cutting the hole might as well go for broke

short exposure to loud noises can be damaging too!
When i was younger i had 2 12' with 2 600 watt amps. Listed loud all the time.
Now i listen loud because i can not hear so well, and i am only 30.
I never worried about hearing protection when firing a gun, or using a lawn mower to going to concerts. Now i regret that.
so having a system is fun, but make sure to protect your hearing.

I agree and if I had the $$$ I'd be going large. Sadly this is what I'm limited to for now.
Any ideas on the port question?
