Re: Show Your System
That X 10 looks like a monster compared to the 8. Should be a nice upgrade

The magnet (with boot cover) of the 8 fit's inside the surround of the 10!
I had the SA-8 on a MRX-M55 Alpine (581w birthcard) and am putting the X-10 on a SAZ-1200D (for now)
I never had the 8 metered in my truck but i'm guessing it should be 6-7 db louder. I'm also gonna guess i'll be in the high 130's and maybe even low 140's, definitely gonna have to get this one metered.
Not sure if anyone else here uses the Torres box program, but i have a question for anyone who does. If i select 1.5" wood thickness do i need to input any numbers for the baffle thickness? or would that give me a 2.25" baffle if i input 3/4"?
Gonna go read through the Torres thread at SMD to try and find an answer thought i would ask here too.

Myself, Rusty, and Mr. Singer have been collaborating on a more traditional style 6th, center port, with strictly bass boxing in mind. Going to rip the current shell out, build the new shell then concrete from there up, steel in front of the B, built up firewall/floor.

8 gauge for speakers? I understand power and ground for the amp, but that seems a bit thick to run from the amp to the subs.
