I have a app on my android for decibels forget what its called think I deleted it but my 2 12s did 110 dbs or something close to that have to redo it because the amp was only half power

I'd go with a 8", not that much more $ than a 6" when bought new and is probably a little step above the 6". Mine has been great (it's a dual voice coil), but I wouldn't be opposed to something... more.
I tried my sub in the trunk of a friend's car (I have a long wire on it, lol) and it was louder in the car than my truck, I was pleasantly surprised by what it was putting out. So I can only guess the 8" would do even better. I say go for it.

I knew this X-10 i am going to be using was quite a bit bigger than the SA-8 i had in my truck.
Not this much bigger though!

The magnet of the SA-8 just nestles inside the surround of the X-10
