There are class D mono amps of good quality that will mount under your seat. You are tall. Raise the seat an inch.

I disagree. In this case, especially since we are talking sealed enclosure, build the largest boxes that will fit on either side without the seat back against them, and still ride comfortably. The wierder and more odd the sealed box is, usually the better they sound because the odd shape helps eliminate standing wave resonances. Once the boxes are figured out and made, decide on the size cutout and depth that will work and accurately measure the internal volume. We can then find subs that will work best in those enclosures and move on to the amp that will work best with the subs.

If it was a big SUV or hatchback we were working with, hell yes, pick your dream sub first, then have the perfect custom enclosure made, port tuned where you love it. Mine would be a large box with a 15" SQ sub and tuned to as close to 25 hz as possible. At least under 30 hz. I would then have a tight subsonic filter in place no more than 5 hz below that tuned freq on an amp powering the sub at least it's RMS handling limit. I would also have a lowpass filter in the headunit set at 80 hz or possibly a tad lower with front Kappa or Type R components highpassed at 100 hz and given 100 watts RMS each. Sorry, drunk & rambling. Been to a nice gig tonight. Gone to bed !

I feel a little bad for you that Type R components are even an option in this dream system of yours.

Nice speaker, but there's much better SQ. Personally I wouldn't ever get them. Especially for my "dream" system

Coming from GLH probably makes it more weird. Lol. He said he was drunk though. Lol

Dang guys. Not talkin bout fantasy. What I could afford. If you cant make Type Rs sound great, got bigger probs than your speakers.

Hertz and Image Dynamics are both good, but nuttin is if you dont know about SQ and setup, which few do. Bet 9 out of 10 here cant properly set gains on an amp and 6 out of 10 cant properly setup a good headunit.

They can be awesome speakers if properly EQd and amped. Try the Reference series if headunit power only (no amp).

Lol...out of your coma buddy?

Personally I'm just not a fan of the SQ for the price. But, you know as well as I that everybody has a preference.

I would prefer some nice Hertz for the price of the type R. And you REALLY need to go listen to Audison. You'll know SQ like never before. Lol
