Nothin wrong with a 10. Unless youre wanting to go with a different size. What do you have in it now?

I'm gonna build another box regardless. That's kinda my thing. I'm gonna try and get two 10's back there and see if I can still have room for the amplifier.

I have a 10 right now. Was thinking about getting a better quality 10. I don't think I can stuff in a 12.

I stuffed a 12 in mine and I've got a gen 3, which is smaller inside I believe.

they are but the differences are minute. Either way, as a tall fellow, I am plagued with the obvious problem of fitting a sub with proper box behind the seats. I'm thinning if I can do sometning a light the location the speakers maybe I'd have an easier time.

I'm 5'10" with no issues. Look into getting a loaded enclosure maybe?

I feel ya. I've always been kinda weary as to how shallow subs sound. I've heard the Kenwood 10" in person and I wasn't impressed in the slightest.

It won't. It's only 400 RMS and sq isn't the best. At least look at something like an Alpine Type R slim. More power and sq
