Re: Show Your System
Y'all do know over 100 db of any sound for any length of time will damage your ears, right ?
What is wrong with a system that sounds good, has nice tight punchy bass, and won't make you deaf ?
Why does it matter what the db is if it sounds good to you ?

honestly, though i agree with you, this argument could be made for horsepower , too. if it gets you a quarter mile in under 15 secs, has ac, and plenty of cargo/passenger space do you really need more from a car? nah, but some people like to have the extra power, (HP or wattage) just in case they need it.
plus the ladies dig that kinda thing. gives em the rumblies in their jumblies.

LOL... clever. I am a bass guitar player in a real band. I know bass. I am 49 years old. I've had the systems that rattle the vehicle to pieces. Being a musician, I know the value of protecting my eardrums. I do have plenty of tight punchy bass in my little Ranger cab. I DO NOT have the boomy exaggerated bass that overpowers the rest of my system, nor do I want it. I can hear all the detail of the bass guitar in the music just as if i am playing it. All I want.
