Picked up that little deal best buy was having for a kicker setup for my gf for Christmas. $200 for a 12 250w amp and wiring. Used the box my p2 was in. Its way too big for it can't even really hear the sub till the stereo is cranked lol

These are my most recent boxes. The black is a 2 12 enclosure with a top folding lid and a space in the middle for my ps3 and stuff. The carpeted one is in my truck now and is ported. There's a door over the amp to hide everything. Looks actually pretty cool. The black one I had covered with armagaurd box liner (rhino liner) but had to go because it was so big and cracked my windshield.
What frequency is the carpeted box tuned for ?

Yep. Electronics don't like vibration. Why 1 should not mount an amp on a sub box.

Probably because that ARC Mini 4-chan amp powering it!...

You have a 4 channel amp powering a subwoofer ?

----------

If y'all want the best sub-bass in a Ranger, make a sturdy sealed down-fire subwoofer enclosure. I'm not talking comp bass or tickle the gals' pussy in the car next to you bass. I'm talking clean quality bass that gives you that nice all over massage but don't make you deaf or hurt your head.

Yes just using the bottom 2 channels bridged for the sub

Unless you have isolator mounts for the amp like I do.

Just got this 12" kicker comp today. Sounds wonderful with the JL JX 250/1 amp.

I tuned it for 35 hz but in my measurements I may have made it 33.

I hope you don't ruin that nice JL amp by having it mounted wrong.

No. Just no. If the ported box is built correctly, it can be more musical and transparent as a sealed box
