But mine doesn't dip down behind the back of the seat and also I made mine custom to fit a full depth sub, completely sealed, and properly made with 3/4" MDF. The MTX ones I saw had no backs and also were plastic. Cheap annoying crap IMO lol.

Yeah. How does the seat fit? Does it go all the way back?

If you push the bottom sliders all the way back, the top of the seat is 1" away from the window. If you pull the slider forward a little bit, you can recline more.

For maximum back massaging pleasure, push sliders all the way back and put the back of the seat flush against the box. Lol.

That pic I have the seat forward to show the box and sub more.

You have to remember the '98 and up Rangers have an extra two or three inches compared to the '97 and below. That enclosure wouldn't fit my Ranger anywhere as good as it fits yours (Tim's).

Back on topic for a second, I have a question for you guys. Do you run your phone/iPod off of a USB, or an auxiliary cable? I'm using my iPhone 5's USB but I heard from a guy at an audio shop that he uses a higher quality aux cable for "better sound". I don't believe this is true, but I figured you guys would know for sure.
He is full of shit. USB.

You will not gain anything with the 6x9's vs the 6x8's and have a lot of work for nothing !

Yeah USB will sound better because on the USB the headunit will pull the file and play it. Through aux input it will play the song but will be amped by the source and by the headunit.

Are you just wanting 4 6x8's to be powered from the headunit only ? Or are you wanting better 6x8's to handle an amp ?

Dude all that Alpine stuff looks OK, but what's up with that powerbass amp ? ...and you don't need the rux? knob when you have sub level on the headunit.

Also the powerbass is getting swapped for an alpine.

My door speakers are all ds68 kickers. And 4 channel is powerbass but gonna get an alpine cause again, they are small and easy to put somwhere in the small truck.

The Alpine MRP-F300 is great for the 6x8 Kickers. (would be one of my last choices for door speakers, but 50 watts RMS each makes them ok)

Do you guys run your subwoofers on normal or reverse from the headunit? My Pioneer HU has that option and from what I can tell they sound the same.

I originally ordered a kicker amp. But it was out if stock. So I had the choice of the powerbass and I said yeah sure I just wanted my stuff. I should have haggled with them and got an alpine but oh we'll. I'll put this powerbass in my gfs car and get an alpine. But I got the rux knob cause it was free with the amp. And it's easier then going through settings in the headunit.

Don't ruin your sub surround by having it rub the back of the seat. Altho it is just a kicker.

And yeah that's the amp I'm gonna get, the kickers are coming out though. I want type r 6x8 but they are expensive. So I'm thinking type s alpine for rear and hertz for front. I'm not sure yet what I wanna get:

Whichever sounds the best. With my 3 channel setup, sounds best with sub phase reversed.

They make reducers from 6x8 to 6.5? What are they called? Reducers?
