Kris is a good dude, I pretty much only play his stuff. Thanks, that video isn't too sweet, but it's the most recent I have. Will get some better videos soon.

What is the advantage of built in tweeters? And crossovers?

None. As far as sq it's better to have them separated for a more precise sound and stereo effect. It's recommended that the tweeters be placed 6" from the mid driver. I've gone from 2 way 6x8's to my Polk component system with 0 regrets whatsoever.

For my tweeters I just got the correct size hole cutter (it will say in the manual) and cut some holes in the door panels and they went right in, just tighten the cups and put the tweets in them.

Don't mind the other holes. Those were disparate measures.

The crossover is just external in component systems since they deal with multipiece equipment. The wires go from the amp to the crossover then splits into the mid and tweet terminals. No big deal. This is one of mine.

I've got them wired thu a hole at the top of the pocket and stowed in the pocket.

You mean component speakers. All full range speakers have tweeters, some are separate.

No, for best imaging you want a single point source.
Ideally you wouldn't even have separate drivers, just one speaker per side that played the entire range flawlessly. Unfortunately that isn't feasible, so you have different speakers to accommodate different frequencies. But those different speakers should ideally be placed in exactly the same spot, not 6" apart.

What frequently happens with coaxials is they use a cheap crossover system, usually consisting of a single electrolytic capacitor. And they use cheaper materials to make the drivers themselves. The fact that the tweeter is directly in the center of the mid is actually it's strongest point.

Well that's new info for me, I was always told the other way. I have to say though, just off of my opinion and experience alone, that the component system made my soundstage perfect for me. There's no way I would go back to coaxials now, mine just sounds too good. It's also nice when I have a passenger and I can still hear the music because their leg doesn't block the tweet, that always bothered me.

Shook the fuse at the battery right out of the holder. Bought a Stinger enclosed holder and a few 150 amp fuses before work and didn't have time to throw it in before I had to clock in. And I'm working nights now lol. I'll throw everything together and get one for ya when I wake up!

Anyone ever ordered speakers from sonicelectronix.com? Because I can get some Pioneer Premier 6x8s for $69.99 a set before shipping from there and $129.99 a set at a local shop. Is sonicelectronix reputable?

And here's some roof flex. http://youtu.be/DwaUo_wETA4
