It can't hurt to have the cap in there, and it's nice to check my voltage at a glance.
I would really like to get some more 4 ga. and route the wires a little more discretely.
I feel like it's functional but not where i'd like it to be for looks.
Yeah that little white box is a xs power XP750 it add's another 22ah capacity to my power system.

I love L7s. I'm picking up two 15s for my Explorer soon. I bet that slams.

Never listened to an L7 in person. The best subwoofer I've ever heard in person was my buddy's Chevy k1500 with 2 SA8's and rockford fosgate speakers. It's so clean sounding. Thing slams and I want to eventually do a custom box build with 1 sa8 in where the jump seats go, but I have other things that come much higher in priority on my truck.

Type this in YouTube (Two 12" Sundown zv4's on 6500 watts!). Now that is power!! Wow look at the flex!

Yeah I put my buddy's L7s in my Explorer for a big cruise we have every year and my little crack in my windshield turned into a huge crack across the bottom within 30 seconds. Two 15" L7s on a 1600w Brutus. Slammed soooo hard. They're clean too.
Josh had them in his LeSabre and he's a smoker, and they would just put out his cigarette almost immediately lol

Fastest way to ruin a good Alpine amp ? Attach it to a sub enclosure.

I've seen guys put a 1/4" piece of soft rubber drilled in between the amp and box to deaden some of the vibrations. Is it really that deadly?

Been on the box for 5 months now, no problems . . . yet.
The enclosure has about 5ft square worth of left over sound dampener inside, maybe took my tuning up one hertz from the volume it used.
I also put four 2"x3" peices of the stuff directly on the back cover plate for the amp and use some tin tape to seal the edges of the dampener shit is turrible to get out of carpet, don't ask how i know.

Of course, it's vibration, 1 of the things that destroy electronics. The others are moisture, dust, heat, etc.

Hey guys. Anybody know much about Alpine's power supply for speakers that wires off the headunit? I temporarily have my Infinity's ran off the headunit and they distort right at the point that my sub starts slapping hard! I don't wanna buy another amp, and I think that this power supply will be a good option. I believe markous (?) posted about them a few pages back.
