To build a false floor?... going THROUGH the floor would take lots of fab work but making a false floor would just be making a down firing box the fit the rear of the cab...

I was saying cutting the floor and putting in a fiberglass tub.

Building a normal box is no big deal

It's not in it yet, but I am in the process of ordering 4 Pioneer TS-A6885R 6" x 8" 4-Way TS Series Coaxial Car Speakers and running a Kenwood KDC-X397 eXcelon Single DIN In-Dash Car Stereo Receiver. Not really into Subs or anything like that. The factory 6 disc ate my CDs as soon as I tossed them into the Ranger I just got. Time to upgrade to something I can use my iPod and Cellphone with.

That is what I was hoping to hear. Figured I would drop it on here to see if anyone had an opinion on it or not. No matter what, it will be better than the stock set up.

heres crusty pictures as promised

Ill wrap up the wiring when I get the third seat in, as well as mount the amps. the 2x4 is there for extra support until the 3rd seat is installed as well. Im going to put some dense foam between the cubby and the top of the sub box to keep it from wanting to move out, even though they really dont move at all as it is. Im very pleased, and they hit really hard.

I have a Kenwood head unit and pioneer 6x8s myself, although my speakers are about 7 years old and are getting tired but I just put a Kenwood double din and pioneer for speakers in my mom's explorer and it sounds great, perfect amount of mids highs and a little bass for my mother

It sticks well since I glued it to the carpet, if a friend has to sit back there you just rip it off and move it over, where I put another patch of Velcro. Tomorrow I'm going to fine tune the amp and mount it down. I have it below the drivers seat, but relatively far back so it's only completely covered when the seat is all the way back. I figure it has sufficient air there, especially since I always have the vent on blowing at least on the third notch down directly to my feet. I also am going to fix all the rattle points tomorrow, it drives me insane having rattling window cranks!

I also plan on making a YouTube video showing everything and demoing the subwoofer. As of right now I'm going to use "Centipede" by Knife Party. It hits hard.
Can I have a copy of your system and set up?? How much did it run you?
