I got some thin rubber matting to use. I need to order deadener also. But honestly a metal on metal rattle in the back will be the least of my worries when this setup is done. I'll fiberglass most of the box to seal it up

I wasnt worried about rattles, it is more for the air leakage out of the box . with the spl you plan on making the littlest leak will have a big effect on the output of the subs

I gotcha. The impact sinks the bolt heads a decent amount. I should be able to fiber glass them and it be alright. Its going to be time consuming but worth it to have a solid shell

Re: Show Your System
When I did mine, I found myself both countersinking the wood a decent amount, and still snapping a bunch of the metal screws. It was a fine line between drilling small enough for the screw to bite really well, and drilling big enough to avoid snapping all the screws.
I used #8 metal screws for the most part.
And a little leak has almost no impact on the subs in that sort of a setup. Duct taping the seams on my box and completely sealing the box with resin was only about a .4 dB gain when all was said and done.

yes that is true , but .4 db can be the difference between a win or 3rd place

It can, but only really on a national level. And in that case, there are so many other things to consider also.
I think Tickle has a few great ideas and his build is looking awesome! I'm at least 27% sure he's considered sealing his enclosure.

Anybody got ideas for setting up in my single cab? (4) 6.5" db drives (2) 8" db drives 2(10") subs(idk brand yet) (2) amps and (2) caps
Im thinking the 10s between my bucket seats might remove cup holder and put 8s behind shifter one on each side (2) 6.5s in the door and two runnin the down the middle on top amps and caps behind each seat
Any insight is greatly appreciated

From santa when they are released in Nov.-Dec. the X-8's not sure on the ETA of the X-6.5 i'm guessing around the same time.
I'm sure a pre-order will be available before then at about 80% msrp until half the production run is sold then pre-orders will close until release time.

It's coming alone, me and my buddy work on it when we can, its going to be rough, starting college in a few weeks so my pay will get cut pretty good. Still staying at home, so whatever I can gets put in this build. I figure build now before I have to start dealing with real life issues.

The cage is just for strengthening, its been a toss up for subs, but I'm looking at 12 SA 12s in a 4th order. Even with team pricing subs wont be cheap
