my truck has all the wires colors in the wire color post

but it doesnt have the 12v switched wire which is supposed to be white/red .... i have only one 12v and that is the constant ...ive checked with my test light and only the constant works ....
the ignition has a purple wire on it but that doesnt power my stereo



please help ...how can get a switched wire

Are one of the cig lighter ports a switch power?

What are you trying to do? if you're installing an aftermarket deck just by a harness and don't fuck up your factory harness.

I also agree; just go to best buy and they will hook you up with a wiring harness. Use that and match each wire with the same color for both. It would be even helpful if you would tell us your year of your truck. You need to make a signature saying all of that info about your truck. It would help us solve your questions more easier. Same goes to Dustin.

when i first got my truck my switched out the stereos and cut the harness off and matched wire to wire except for acc (i have no clue why ) now i am stuck and cannot get the wires right cause the diagram only matches my speaker wire and 12v constant (red/violet) and ground .................but doe not have red white switched
