Finally starting my blow through
Ive been debating doing a blow through for awhile now and finally decided to do it. My current setup just wasnt doing it for me anymore so I will be going from 1 10" sub at 300 watts to 2 12" subs with 1200 watts. So should be just alittle differance in bass. So on to the build.......
The Equipment
Subs: 2 12" D4 Audioque SDC2.5
Amp: Audioque 1200D
Electrical: For now stock. Should be a Mechman alt and small XS battery within the month.
Wiring All 4gauge Rockford, KnuKonceptz mix - big three, starter and spare battery will be in the engine compartment and the amp will be grounded to the batt so 2 runs of 4g to the amp.
HU Kenwood ----- changing in the near future
Mids & Highs Temporary - 2 sets of Kenwood 6x8s in the doors off the HU. Not sure what is going in yet
Progress....................
Subs are here, amp is ordered and hopefully here next week, box is mostly built, aeroports and accordion sill should be here this week, should be cutting the wall and bed of the truck Saturday
The Victim!
picking up the mdf
the subs
Pulled out the bedliner this weekend which hasn't been removed since 98' and cleaned it up
The box is about 4 cubic feet and tuned to 33 hz
Building the box
Some goodies Fedex dropped off today
Started fiberglassing the outside of the box tonight
Well thats it for now. I still have to cut the hole for the blow through, sand and paint the box, run wires, and alot more than I can think of right now. More pics to come.

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Thanks. Ive been working on it for about a week now. I didnt want it to look like I just built a box and cut a hole. Im going for a clean look and taking as much time needed to get it how I want it.

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Well its done. Now to get some pics up.
The interior was gutted so my brother could lay the FatMat
Getting the hole cut
bed
cab
Test fit is good
Had to weld the top of the rear wall to minimize flex
Making progress with the FatMat
Accordion seal in place
The speakers installed and bolting it to the bed
Trying them out on my Power Aqustik amp
Painted the box with a roll on bedliner
My new amp
The rear trim panel I made to cover the accordion seal and make it look cleaner
Just have to install voltmeter, mount the amp better, find component speakers, and many other things I can't think of right now

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Thanks guys. Not much done tonight. I did get my voltmeter installed and mounted on my OHC.
I probably won't do much to it till this weekend.

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Hey rad do you have a build log going. Make sure to brace the back wall or else you'll have a ton of flex. The build was pretty easy, the hardest part was getting the nerve to cut a big hole in the cab and bed. Here's a link to another project that I've been working on. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/boa...ts-dc-taurus/?. It's my brothers car with one dc 12 on 1500 watts

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Ok guys haven't done too much lately. I did upgrade the power, ground, and RCAs. I replaced the old kenwood H.U. with a pioneer double din DVD player with a 7 inch touch screen.
The new radio

Re: Finally starting my blow through
Hope you got the bypass for it... I got the Pioneer 3200 DVD player and it's awesome! Did you have to pay full price for that?
