bass tubes vs conventional subs
as we all know rangers have limited space, even the supercab. i have a box with two 12" kickers taking up my entire back and its using a lot of cargo space, so im considering swapping them for these bass tubes. I dont know a lot about them though. is there anyone here who has ever had or has them?

Re: bass tubes vs conventional subs
i have a ten inch bazooka tube, and honestly, i fucking hate it. it rolls around too much, shit you put in the back gets trapped under it, and they dont sound that great, and do actually take up a fair amount of space.

Re: bass tubes vs conventional subs
Thinking about one of these for under the seat. That's not a typo. A sub under the seat. Still researching though so this isn't a proven recommendation, more like a suggestion.

Re: bass tubes vs conventional subs
well, im not entirely sure on doing the swap. i like having the full power of a boxed enclosure, but as i mentioned some of my taller friends are squeazed in. i plan on making a custom box to fit the ranger, to give my subs more space to do their job. would it be a waste of money to put them under my seats to try to enhance the sound? or would the kickers just drown out any bass tube?

Re: bass tubes vs conventional subs
yeah i dig. i wanna keep the 12s. no bigger, thats just overkill and stupid. imo at least. throwing a ten isnt a bad idea tho. i already have a 2 channel amp so i really just need the sub. ill have to see how what my budget permits.
hopefully you get that new box done soon, id like to see how that looks.
