new head unit in a 05 ranger

i just got a used 05 ranger and want to replace the head unit but i had a couple questions. the radio im wanting to put in is a pioneer DEH-3200UB.

Every time i pull up my ranger in best buys fit finder it says the head unit wont fit, how could it not it that huge space? do i need to use a different vehicle?
how hard is it to install the new radio, is it just plug and play?

Anything can fit with some work

. As for wiring, you will need a ford harness, which BB will carry, and its as simple as connecting the wires. Also, you will need a ford radio removal tool.

Because it wont fit without trimming.

All you need to do is trim the top and bottom lip on the inside of the radio bezel.

Get a install kit like this cut the center bar out and there ya go

ah, so your saying just get a universal kit, and trim the trim to get it to fit? btw that looks awesome.

dont need a removal tool.

pull the radio bezel out then on the sides. press the clips in to reless the radio.

ok so im thinking of this radio. Crutchfield sells an adapter for ford trucks, will that work ok?

well the thing is crutchfield has the radio $20 cheaper and has the installation stuff for free..... so i was thinking of going through them.

isn't the 3200 a single din radio tho? because if it is best buy definitely carrys it because that's what i used for my kenwood headunit in my 06 ranger
