Need some help with subs and amp
Hey my names Josh. I got an 01 range edge extended cab. I was wanting to put a couple 12s in the back. I got an aftermarket HU. I was thinking of 2 kicker comp vr's and a kenwood Kac9105d amp and build a box, or go the easy route and get the mtx terminator kit if it would fit.
I dont really wanna spend over $350 on the subs and amp cause i still gotta get the wires and such. So any help on fittin that budget would be great. Thanks speedy

hey bud ur best bet would be to look around on craigslist for used subs and amps caus u get em so much cheaper take a look at my system if you want some ideas or any questions i no all about that stuff build boxes and sell em all the time and install systems so hit me up if u need anything good luck

Ya i know used is cheaper but i was gonna buy new to start off with. I think i got it down to 2 12in Kicker comp vr's and a hifonics 1000watt rms mono block class d amp. Would 4 guage wiring be the way to go with this?

as far as size of wire im not the expert sorry i just know how to i dont really know what size is best for... all i can say is give it a shot good luck with ur setup! =)

i vote for your initial idea of the mtx terminator setup. as long as you have an extended cab truck, it'll fit. and as for wiring, it all depends on your amp size that you decide to go with. 300-600 watt requires no more than a 8 g wiring kit. above that i'd recommend a 4 g wire.
