2019 ranger sync cant find my blue tooth transmitter
So I have an older MP3 player with no wireless ability. I purchased a bluetooth dongle off amazon. It uses the headphone jack to basically take the audio output that would normally go to your headphones and transmit it via bluetooth. Oddly, my truck can see the device when it is receive mode. This shouldn't even be possible, you cant detect an object unless it transmits. The truck cant see it in transmit mode at all.
Now keep in mind, Ive not had my truck long so I've not really had time to set up the electronics I just keep hitting the ask later prompt on my screen. I dunno how long it takes but if Im in my truck it's probably for a reason..and it's to do something else. So I am not sure if thats why.
I do know the device works because I have one of those wireless rechargeable speakers that can either accept audio jack output or bluetooth and it works just fine. Maybe I need a different dongle?
Has anyone had exp with this and know of a product that works? This one was atleast fairly inexpensive at 20 bucks but it should still work. BTW, the truck syncs to my phone just fine. My phone is 2 or 3 yrs old, an LGX.
