Hello! I'm new here as I've recently been gifted my wife's grandfather's 1991 Ranger. It's basically stock with only about 75K miles on it. I'm in love and it's now my daily driver.

I'd like to replace the stock speakers, but I can't make sense from the various online sources of the right size. Hoping someone can help.

It seems that perhaps the front speakers are 5.25" and the back are 6x8? But it also seems to me that each front door has two speakers! Am I crazy? Or are there actually 4 5.25" speakers up front?

FWIW, the head unit is stock. I might replace it but will keep it simple. No amp or subs.

Thanks, but I've been to Crutchfield as one of the online sources I mentioned. It doesn't seem to acknowledge the second set of speakers up front (and other sites seems to give conflicting information), which is part of what's left me confused...

Might need to pop a door panel to verify the actual number of door speakers. I've never seen crutchfield steer anyone wrong when it comes to fitment.
