Purchase Ford radio removal tools, they are cheap. Look like 2 U shaped handles. Usually stocked in car audio stores, or of course online. They just insert into the four little holes on the sides of unit to release clips. I've successfully used wire coat hanger if removal tools aren't available

Great! When using them, slide in until soft click, then pull apart slightly while also pulling towards you. This will prevent you from simply pulling them back out.

Again many thanks.....I took the ashtray out, I see 2 screws , are those the ones I need remove to take Dash Bezel off? And I am guessing the Headlight Knob must come off also?
I appreciate your time and help

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with your model year, however it sounds about right. I remember removing the ashtray and 2 screws as well as 12 volt socket connection, but not sure if that was when doing a head unit or not. It's been 12 or 13 years since my h/u project (on an 03, BTW)
