Default Brake light that blink

Hello Ranger Owners,
I have a 2007 Ranger Sport. I installed an ARE tonneau cover with wing/brake light. The installer installed the cover but did not connect the brake light. I am electronically savage but for the life of me I can connect the brake light whereas the light only works when the brakes are depressed and not the turn signal. If you can shine some light on this matter, I will be thankful.

So the brake light on the topper works when you are on the brakes? Sounds like it's working to me.

My desire is that the light on the topper light only when the brakes are applied and not when the turn signal is switched on.

It's on with the turn signal too? That means they must have wired it into the brake lights on the bed.

Some info would be better, does it turn on with both left and right turn signals, or just one? If just one, then go to that light and figure out where it is tapped in, then relocate the wires to the CHMSL bulb.

I wire the light n the wing to the left bed light group. I maybe should locate the wires for the brake light on the cab and make the connection there.

You need to wire it to the wire that only has power then the brakes are pressed.
