You can build/buy any box that will physically fit. How much bass do you want? Thats the real question.

If you want a lot of bass I would suggest getting one 12. Quantam Bass makes a pretty good speaker for the money...if you get that then get a box built for it and tuned to 34 hz

You can shake the mirrors with the stock door speakers haha....and go ahead and go big the first time, b/c as soon as you get a system you'll most likely want more. I went from two tens to a JL Audio w7 12 haha...I had two MTX 10s in a custom built box to only go to the transmission tunnel that gave a decent amount of bass but not overkill...may want to look into something like that

I'm running a single MTX T4500 10", and a 600watt MTX amp, and that does plenty in my little truck, and pisses off the neighbors when I crank it up. But the rest of the system is slightly upgraded, so it more or less acts to fill out the sound, not over power it.

I had two T4500's in my ext cab, and wasn't running them with quite enough power I don't guess b/c they left more to be desired

here ya go!

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...ever-seen.html

depending on how much bass you want, you could stick with a smaller sub which would need a smaller box. Buy good quality and you'd be amazed at how much thump an 8" sub will give you. There's a ton of info out there on how to build your own box out of anything from PVC pipe to concrete, but I'm a fan of 3/4" MDF. You could shape it to fit just about anywhere. Heck, put a couple of cup holders and some padding on it and replace that center fold down armrest if that would work for you!

With the Thunder series subs, you really need the airspace to make them work right, and yeah, it helps to have your amp matched to the subs.

It must have been the airspace then, b/c my amp's rms rating was right on....but who knows, that was my first system and I had just taken interest into audio so I have no clue what was wrong with it....but most likely the custom box. The radio didn't help either.

I have a kicker 15" cvr in my 04 edge and its alot of fun. Pretty far into the overkill range from most peoples perspective though seeing as people can hear me coming two blocks away from inside their homes.
