Installing a Pioneer AVIC-X910BT and I need to tap into the speed sensor to get accurate GPS readings, but I have no idea where it is. Can anyone tell me where it is?

Ha, too many words or what? The GPS uses speed from the sensor to determine how long it'll take to get somewhere.

No, not too many words. What you're describing makes absolutely no sense at all. Why would a GPS need to be connected to the truck's speed sensor??

My bad.
There is a pink wire that goes from the head unit to a sensor that sends the speed signal. I need to splice into that.

I understand what you're asking. The VSS circuit is in a wire harness down under the dash, not sure which color (though I think it might be pink actually). What makes no sense is why a GPS would need this.

Any specifics on where I should look?
It uses the speed with the location signal to get more accurate location details apparently. And it calculates the "Estimated Time Of Arrival" with it.

Nevermind. Did a little more digging on good old Google and found the info. I'm looking to tap into a gray/black wire coming out of the PCM behind the glovebox.
