I was driving home when suddenly my stereo suddendly shut off. Once I got home I went straight to the fuse but fuse was not blown. I then took out the stereo and checked all the wiring on it and nothing seemed disconnected or loose. I called a friend about it and said to connect the stereos yellow and red wire, connect it to the red wire power source and see if that worked, which it did.

So it turns on and off only manually by the power button. Has anyone else had this issue? What would I need to check to get it working properly? TIA

I have had a simular issue, after months of tracking, I traced it to the wires on the back of the in cabin fuse box no longer being firm and losing connection.

The issue is different, mine has power but the problem is the yellow wire which I'm assuming is the "signal" from the ignition switch.

Sorry, I misread that... With my radio, I believe when I set it up, there was an always powered wire and an ignition only (power not signal) wire, but I set it up.... 3ish? years ago so I don't remember that too much anymore...

Have you tried to just redo all the connections?
