Maybe because not everyone needs all that stuff lol. I need none of what you named. That's what I have a phone and/or gps for. My good ole pioneer single din does what I need it to and not a thing more. Also way less expensive and less of a hassle.

I have some cheap tview double din in my f150. It came in the truck when I got it. It's got Bluetooth and doesn't sound all that bad. But I will be pulling it for a kenwood excelon double din deck.

Wow, so I let this thread die off before my conclusion

Look, I get that some of you want top of the line and that's fine, but I'm 21 and am just finishing college so I'm not gonna sink my entire wallet into everything.

With that said, I bought a single din Pioneer. The Deh-X5500 HD, bought it from a user here. Has 50 w x 4 channel. Goes really good with the 6x8 Rockford Punch 65 RMS. The speakers are just above the head unit in power so it is a really good match.

Everything sounds really clean and my last venture is to buy a single sub for the low end. I'm looking at Rockford's P300-10; a powered sub at 300 watts that goes for 180 on Amazon and has great reviews.

This will finish the aftermarket system. Not top of the line, but much better than stock and everything really PUNCHES and I love the way my music is sounding.

Get the Kenwwod KMMBT515HD. It has bluetooth aptX codec. ENOUGH SAID ABOUT THE HEADUNIT.

You NEED an amp to power the rockford speakers there is no way around that. I believe sony has a specific headunit that has a built in amp in the headunit. I am assuming it would be heavy.

Exactly. Those rockford fosgates are going to sound distorted because the headunit does not have the power to make those woofers come alive....

False. Partially. 50 is max, 22 is continuous output. And a sub is rated at 70.

Does anyone know what the Ranger stock HU power is? It has to be absolute crap, because this Pioneer HU makes my speakers sound a HELL of a lot better.

To those suggesting I buy a Kenwood, wouldn't it make more sense to get an amp for the speakers? I really do not wish to re-sell the HU that I bought.

Money is tight right now. Not even close to affording the 200 I need for my sub.

I'm still waiting on a large tax return as well. Which will help

Thoughts on this Jensen Amp?

Just a tad higher than the Rockford speakers. I know it's cheaper, but I do have to consider that since the sub I want is 200 when said and done.
