Why can't I find a stock radio
There's about a billion Rangers I see on the road everyday but I can't seem to find a stock radio on sale anywhere. You'd think you'd be able to find one on ebay or something but no.
It's a 1994.

Re: Why can't I find a stock radio
most people either want to keep them to put back in the truck when they sell it , or throw them out . I still have one from my 03 .

You might consider using the user CP and adding a signature to your posts, in case someone might have one or locate you one.I was going to try to help you, but couldn't even find out what truck you have.

Yeah! what Bob said.
I had seen a few on Craigslist, but the 200 mile circle I look through probably wouldn't do you much good in San Diego.
If there are a Billion Rangers on the road, there probably is at least a billion in junk yards across America, with a few in Southern California.
I did a search for you (YW) and found THIS on THIS PAGE
Of course knowing what year to look for might have narrowed the search down a bit.

I hate the look of all the new displays. Plus, I loves turning the knobs instead of pushing buttons.

Re: Why can't I find a stock radio
I would think almost every ford car & truck from about 1985 'till 1995 would have a compatible single din radio... hell I just threw one in the trash at work out of a '92 F350. they are just about everywhere in junkyards and swap meets

Re: Why can't I find a stock radio
You're just lazy. See JY, or ebay, or check your local Craigslist for any Ranger being "parted-out".
All 1994+ Ranger Radios are compatible. But 1998+ radios use a different connector shape, in which case you just need to DIY a short little adapter cable to plug the modern stock radio into your existing 1994 radio plugs. For example, see http://imgur.com/a/xWGY6 <== CLICK

I don't like being the guy that bursts the bubble but........there are no knobs on the 94 Ranger cassette decks (it's pushbutton service). FWIW, these decks of this vintage found their way into other Ford products so you can expand your search; where it get's weird is verifying plug-and-play of a deck with your wiring. I do know for a fact that you can NOT get one of their premium decks of that vintage (like, the....gasp....CD player) and just plug it in as there was a factory amp in there and the wiring is different.
Edit: OP, you might want to determine if you had an am/fm or the am/fm/cass as opposed to the CD and I do believe, the upgraded cassette deck offering and take this into account before starting your search. If you have the latter, I would suggest looking for the amp and inspectiong the wiring. Then again, not too many people bought the premium systems, so finding one could prove to make aftermarket look pretty good.

All 1994+ Ranger Radios are compatible. CLICK

94 is a single DIN. 95+ is double. And yes, they are in the u-pull JY's here and all of them are very "road tested" as seen by how they look.
